Reflect

“Make the most of every living and breathing moment because these are evil times.” (Ephesians 5:16)

I read this scripture tonight and it totally caused me to pause and reflect. Reflection gives us an opportunity to stop and think about our lives. It is always an opportunity to reset. We live in a fast-paced world where change is happening at lighting speed, so much that we can’t even keep up! I have lived long enough to recognize and experience the difference. I grew up in a time when life moved much slower before cell phones and the internet evolved. I enjoyed good old-fashioned chats on the telephone as a teenager and real conversations with real friends without any social media. Instead of allowing the culture to change me, I have recognized the importance of stability and the value in remaining constant and unchanging in this ever-changing world. “Time is going by in the sweet by and by” is what my grandmother used to say. My aunt used to say, “just sit and tarry a minute.” I now know what they both meant and will stop and pause. When we pause, we begin to hear. When we hear we begin to make new decisions, we allow new things to come forth.

How can you focus on what matters most and cut the noise?

What are the doors that need to be closed so you can gain freedom?

Time is short. Choose wisely….
